The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) exhibited at this year’s edition of the Sanganai/Hlanganani World Travel and Tourism expo under the theme “ZIMRA anchoring economic growth through facilitation of tourism, trade and travel using environmentally sustainable processes.” This theme is in line with the expo theme which is “Green Tourism, Anchoring Economic Growth”.

The edition offered ZIMRA a platform to disseminate tourism-related information. This gave ZIMRA an opportunity to answer questions like: what is a tourist rebate? How does a tourist clear his/her motor vehicle? What is the VAT treatment for services offered to tourists?

The exhibition was in tandem with the ZIMRA mission of promoting economic development through efficient revenue generation and trade facilitation.

The Sanganai /Hlanganani Fair was organised by the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) and it hosted an Egyptian musical group called the Egyptian Folklore troupe. Participants are drawn from Russia, Malaysia, Iran, the United States and Indonesia. African participants are from South Africa, Zambia, Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, the DRC, Namibia, Seychelles and Sudan among others. The expo runs for 3 days from October 14 to 16 2010 and is being held at the Harare Exhibition Park.
