The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) as part of its corporate social responsibility and in its continued efforts to lend a hand to the less-privileged in our society, will hold the ZIMRA annual Charity Ball on December 3, 2010 at The Rainbow Towers Hotel from 1830hrs. The Charity Ball is a fundraising dinner held every year in the name of charity.

“Taking care of one another” is the theme under which the Charity Ball will be held this year. The Authority is hoping to raise enough funds to procure proceeds for distribution to deserving charity organisations and stands by the unwavering support of both the corporate world and individuals.

The Annual Charity Ball has been a tradition at ZIMRA, it has been carried out religiously each year. Every year the Authority holds the Charity Ball and invites organisations to participate by purchasing a dinner table, during the course of the evening there is an auction that is held were by various items that have been  donated by organisations  are auctioned out. After the dinner the proceeds that are raised are distributed out to a deserving charity organisation , institutions that have benefited from the ZIMRA Charity Ball include the Jairos Jiri home, Ivordale Celebrated Children’s shelter, Mucheke Old People’s Home just to mention a few. This year’s Charity Ball will be held at the Rainbow Towers Hotel , Jacaranda rooms 1, 2 and 3. ZIMRA would like to encourage the corporate world  to dress up for a worthy cause and support  a just cause and take care of one another .
