The Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA) hosted a delegation from the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) that was on a study tour of ZIMRA’s Tax and Customs administration, from 30 January to 2 February 2011.

The delegation focused on the following areas of interest: an overview of the key features of the tax administration system; integration of ZIMRA tax administration system to an e- filling system; risk management; as well as monitoring and evaluation systems in place. They were also interested in the interface between the Customs and Domestic Taxes systems, and the payment module of the tax administration system.

The team met with the Commissioner General and ZIMRA’s executive management. Various issues were discussed among which were ZIMRA’s integrated systems and the human resources setup.

The delegation also had an opportunity to tour several operational areas. Well trained ZIMRA staff displayed indisputable hospitality when they received them in their designated work stations which gave them a warm welcome and stay.

The delegation comprised senior ZRA officials from Domestic Taxes, Research and Planning, Finance, ICT and Design and Monitoring.

In December last year, ZIMRA hosted other delegates from Namibia and Palestine who were on a study tour of ASYCUDA World.
