State-of-the-art infrastructure and robust information and communication technology (ICT) systems are key to the execution of the mandate of the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority (ZIMRA). As a result, the Authority has consistently embarked on infrastructure and ICT upgrades as well as construction activities at most of its inland and border offices.

Speaking at the infrastructure development forum  that was held recently, ZIMRA’s Director for Infrastructure and ICT Development – Mr Tjiyapo Velempini – outlined the organisation’s vision to build a trade centre in Bulawayo and a new head office in Harare. He also praised public private partnerships (PPPs) as a panacea to infrastructure and accommodation challenges especially at border posts like Beitbridge, Forbes and Nyamapanda.
