ZIMRA Plumtree partnered Plumtree Town Council, the Zimbabwe Prison Service, International Organisation for Migration (IOM), Immigration Department and the Botswana Unified Revenue Service (BURS) to clean up both the Zimbabwean and Botswana sides of the border post recently.

Botswana immigration and Customs officials hailed theĀ  event for being well organised, thanks to Mrs Lonto Ndlovu, ZIMRA Plumtree Station Manager and Mr Langton Kutyauripo, the Acting Deputy Regional Immigration Officer. IOM provided gloves and respiratory masks while. ZIMRA provided t-shirts and hats which were worn at the event.

The District Administrator for Mangwe District, Mrs Felicity Gangada, applauded this noble cause. She said it was prudent to hold the clean up campaign at a time when neighbouring South Africa was hosting the World Cup. She said a number of people would pass through Zimbabwe and Botswana on their way to South Africa therefore it was proper to maintain clean border posts.
