Why is ZIMRA not issuing fiscal gadgets to clients as it is their brain child?
AnswerThe Minister of Finance makes regulations to enhance revenue collection from time to time, fiscalisation of VAT registered clients being one of them. The regulations do not stipulate issuance of gadgets for free. However tax payers are entitled to claim 50% of the cost as input tax and the balance is claimable as capital allowances under the income tax Act.
