All taxpayers were advised to urgently update their Master Data with Public Officer Details in preparation for registration in the new Tax and Revenue Management System (TaRMs) through recent ZIMRA Public Notices. Further to that, the Commissioner Domestic Taxes advises as follows:
- No new taxpayer registrations and updating of master data will be possible from 9 to 11 October 2023.
- During this period (9 to 11 October 2023), already registered taxpayers will receive New Taxpayer Identification Numbers (TINs).
- New registrations and master data update will only be possible in the new system with effect from 12 October 2023.
- Taxpayers in receipt of their new TIN will be able to access the new system (TaRMS) and open user accounts from 12 October 2023 (further guidance will be provided).
- Filing of tax returns and payment of taxes shall continue in the current system until 28 October 2023, thereafter, taxpayers will be required to file returns and pay their taxes in the new system.
